This is my last full day in San Diego, I am leaving for Norway tomorrow. I therefore want to say thank you for a most interesting and valuable semester as a visiting scholar at NCSCL.
I am glad to tell you that Carole Scott has decided to come to Bergen in September, directily from a picturebook conference in Tübingen. At Bergen University College she will give two lectures on a couple of her favorite topics and attend a Faculty meeting. In addittion she will have some extra days to explore Bergen. My husband and I look very much forward to spend time with Carole in Bergen and to have her visit our college. And hopefully there can be some more faculty mobility between the NCSCL and Bergen University College in the future.
Again thank you for all hospitality during my stay at SDSU.

ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your donation of the two Garmann picture books (one pictured above). These are startling, innovative, and engaging, particularly with regard to image construction and perspective.
I hope to have a chance to talk to you about them one day.
