We're sorry to report that Isabel Schon--a longtime friend of children's books and the founder of the Barahona Center for the Study of Books in Spanish for Children and Adolescents at California Sate University in San Marcos--died on March 2, 2011. Our sympathy to her family and colleagues. Que descanse en paz.
