Jerry Griswold, Emeritus Professor of Children’s Literature (San Diego State University), critic, author of seven books and more than 200 essays, and past director of the Center for the Study of Children’s Literature will discuss “visualness” in children’s books. The presentation will take up such topics as: reading as visualizing, how picture books work, the text as object, and picture book design. This presentation will open your eyes and your mind.
