Redlands has a festival for people with a passion and love for children's books and literature - teachers, librarians, parents, writers and illustrators, all.
The University of Redlands is once again hosting the 16th Annual Charlotte S. Huck Children's Literature Festival. It started Friday and continues today.
The draw was a lineup of authors and illustrators from across the United States giving presentations, small group workshops and signings.
Local book markets were also on hand.
Huck was an internationally renowned children's literature expert who was the inspiration and driving force behind this festival.
In 1955 she joined the education faculty at Ohio State University, where she organized the first course in children's literature and founded its children's literature conference.
