Sobol's Encyclopedia Brown likely influenced many young readers toward studying science. The young hero used reason and observation to reach his conclusions (along with his friends). As a young parent, I delighted in Sobol's books as much as my children did.
Been a rough year already for losing many stellar children's authors/artists--- we thank them all for leaving remarkable, timeless legacies of literature.
